Who We Are
Ennis Evangelical Church is located on the west coast of Ireland in County Clare, home to some of God's most wonderful creation.
All our teaching and practice is based on the Bible and we are committed to be a God-centred church. We seek to help the local community by pointing people to the Lord Jesus Christ.
In the town of Ennis in 1977 a small group of people met together to pray and study God’s word on a regular basis. This eventually became known as the Ennis Christian Fellowship. Lives were transformed by the grace and power of our Lord Jesus Christ, the work of God in Ennis grew and the name Ennis Evangelical Church was chosen, the Eaglais Soisceal, Inis. Over the years we have witnessed the hand of God reaching into the lives of many people, drawing them to Himself. We are committed to be Christ-centred and God honouring.
The name Ennis Evangelical Church was chosen as it describes exactly what the church is:
- Ennis is where we meet
- Evangelical means Gospel, which is what we believe and proclaim
- Church is what God has made us - a gathering of His people
