Can You Remember?

Quiz Time!

This is the 6th month that we have put forward a Verse of the Month.  Yes, hard to believe isn’t it, but the first one came out in May 2009!  Who can remember any of them or why we have them?

Each month, the Lord has given us a verse that encapsulates a truth that He has been showing us.  This may have come either through our teachings, His work in our daily lives or it may be more prophetic.

The idea was to lay hold of these verses corporately, in our prayers, quiet times, daily devotions, etc.

Reviewing the ones we’ve had so far makes interesting reading:

May

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain (1Co 15:58).

June

Never stop praying, especially for others. Always pray by the power of the Spirit. Stay alert and keep praying for God’s people (Eph 6:18, CEV).

July

“… how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (Lk 11:13b).

August

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you (1Pe 4:14).

September

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths (Pr 3:5-6).

Think back. What was going on in our church or in your lives in those months?  Did these verses speak to you?

Here is this month’s choice for VotM - 2 Cor 9:7
(simply point your mouse to the reference - don’t "click"!)
