Gems on the Web

"Gems on the Web" tries to pick valuable content from the Internet and present it to the readers of this blog. This is based on Matthias’ personal experience and research, and not necessarily the Church’s recommendation, however, it certainly tries to uphold the beliefs and truths that are the foundation of the Ennis Evangelical Church.

Today’s Gem: Now a Creationist (Jonathan Sarfati) How does someone with an essentially secular upbringing and secular education become a staunch supporter of biblical creation? Read the answer, an amazing story, which also shows how flawed many of the "evolution-myths" are - from a scientist’s perspective!

Also check this out: An awesome mind - A talk with one of Christianity’s foremost defenders. This man is also a passionate chess player, yet on a different level: sometimes he playes simultaneously and blindfolded against 12 opponents!

Dr Jonathan Sarfati obtained a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry with two physics papers substituted (nuclear and condensed matter physics). His Ph.D. in Chemistry was awarded for a thesis entitled ‘A Spectroscopic Study of some Chalcogenide Ring and Cage Molecules’. He has co-authored papers in mainstream scientific journals on high-temperature superconductors and selenium-containing ring- and cage-shaped molecules. All those stories can be found on the website of Creation Ministries International, which have been mentioned earlier on this blog!

  1. Thanks Matthy, found that link very useful, especially for talking to people on the streets, or college, or in the cafe, or anywhere really, we do need to be equipped to defend our faith, and we need to be relevant, just as Jesus was in his day. I enjoyed the article about street work http://creation.com/street-preacher-says-creation-is-the-issue, generally I find people do want to talk about these issues, maybe its we who are not willing because we are not confident in the facts. So lets get the truth out there!
