News in Brief - May’09

Verse of the Month - You might have noticed a new feature in the newsletter - the EEC Verse of the Month. Typically this will be a scripture describing one of God’s great promises that we can really lay hold of in our prayers, quiet times, daily devotions, etc. But only the Lord knows what He wishes to put on our hearts, so watch out each month and meantime, you are encouraged to thank Him daily for reminding us that in the Lord your labour is not in vain and to be encouraged to remain steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord. Amen!

New Births - Congratulations to Silvester & Ekene and Carleen & Samuel on their recent new arrivals: Emmanuel on 14th April and Regan on 24th April. Give thanks for the blessing of new life!

Stop Press - Knockanean Bible Requests. Just in, the number of bibles requested following the Amazing Journey presentation was 33. Praise the Lord that He has made it possible for so many more children to have their own bibles and for His plans to use them for His glory! Praise Him too that so many more heard of Jesus’ love and we stand aside as He works out His plans for all those present that day. Let’s pray that for many it will be part of their own Amazing Journeys!
